I love how this story concluded. Initially I was torn between the brothers. Alaric wasn't a bad person. I wanted Agnes to choose him, but Aaron was her fated mate and he was also good to her, he was close with his people and protected them. I would've been heartbroken if she had chosen Alaric. I'm also happy that Edmund was alive to see both his children safe and sound. Brandon needs a mate. This was a great story all around!
Whoever writes these knows what restraint feels like. That's rarer than people realize.
Finally an audiobook for grown women. No silly tropes, just slow-burn done right. Sleep timer is heaven.
I cried at the kitchen scene. Twice. Beautiful work — the kind of story that reminds you why we read romance.
