BackThe EXHAUSTED MAID fell asleep in the Alpha King’s bed - PART 2
Now the two of them have to learn to share the same bed without touching each other. Night after night, he leaves his own room so as not to rush her, waiting for the day she finally looks at him and says that she is ready. But that wait will get even harder when the most beautiful woman in the west returns to the castle with four trunks… and far too much intimacy with the king. She has known him since he was fourteen. She knows he sleeps with the window open even in winter, and Parisa knows that a woman does not find out a thing like that just from dancing with a man in a ballroom. For the first time, the queen feels jealous… while the whole castle goes on counting the days until the mark appears on her neck. How long can a man like him wait?

In all of the stories that I have listened to, here and other places, I have never seen a King with this much patience. This felt real because trauma can definitely affect a person the way it affected this young lady
Thank you so much for your comment! That’s exactly the side of him we wanted to show: a man who, despite all his power, knew how to be patient and respect her pace. After everything she had been through, what she needed most was love and a sense of safety. We’re so happy you felt that in the story!
I honestly wished the story could have kept going, showing her grow and discover her full potential. I would have loved to see everything she was capable of becoming! ❤️
Martha, we love hearing that you wanted to see more of her journey! There’s definitely still so much potential to explore with this character, especially now that she’s finally beginning to discover her own strength. Who knows? Maybe we’ll return to this world someday!
I cried at the kitchen scene. Twice. Beautiful work — the kind of story that reminds you why we read romance.
Started it at 9 p.m., 'just one chapter.' It's 2 a.m. and I'm lying here staring at the ceiling like a teenager.
The way he says nothing for almost a full chapter and you can still feel exactly what he's thinking. THAT'S writing.
The chemistry felt real, not performative. So many of these stories try too hard. This one trusted itself.
